The agency has invested in new ballistic vest for personnel in divisions that handle arrests and transportation of offenders. Previously issued vests were expired or unserviceable and in need of replacement. Prior to the new vests being issued, deputies either purchased their own, went without, or wore a vest previously fitted for another deputy. Ballistic vests are vital in the protection of our deputies in an ever-changing world where violence towards law enforcement is on the rise.
