The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.
Topics include:
- History and prevalence of active shooter events
- Civilian response options
- Medical issues
- Considerations for conducting drills.
This 3-4 hour course is open to and catered toward large business owners and church leaders.
We have scheduled a class – May 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. to noon at our Pearl River Training Facility, 39395 Pine St, Pearl River. The class will be limited to 80 attendees, and we must have at least 20 registered to attend in order to hold the class.
Each individual must fill out a separate registration form, but there is no cost to attend.
