{"id":2197,"date":"2019-04-16T22:48:49","date_gmt":"2019-04-17T03:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sheriffrandysmith.com\/?post_type=fw-portfolio&#038;p=2197"},"modified":"2019-04-16T22:48:49","modified_gmt":"2019-04-17T03:48:49","slug":"civilian-response-to-active-shooter-home","status":"publish","type":"fw-portfolio","link":"https:\/\/www.sheriffrandysmith.com\/es\/project\/civilian-response-to-active-shooter-home\/","title":{"rendered":"Civilian Response to Active Shooter Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.<\/p>\n<p>Topics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>History and prevalence of active shooter events<\/li>\n<li>Civilian response options<\/li>\n<li>Medical issues<\/li>\n<li>Considerations for conducting drills.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This 3-4 hour course is open to and catered toward large business owners and church leaders.<\/p>\n<p>We have scheduled a class &#8211; May 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. to noon at our Pearl River Training Facility, 39395 Pine St, Pearl River.
